What is the new Porsche Taycan model?
The Porsche Taycan was first introduced as a 2020 model year vehicle, and it has seen tremendous success. As the 2021 model year begins and gets underway, there is a new Taycan model available that will be coming to the United States. What is the new Porsche Taycan model? It is called just the Taycan and it is joining the Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo, and Taycan Turbo S models that are available.
What will power the new Porsche Taycan model?
The new Porsche Taycan model will have the same back end power and battery that is found in the Taycan 4S. There are two battery configurations available in the new model that contribute to the car’s incredible power. The first is a Performance Battery that has a gross capacity of 79.2 kWh and can charge up to 225 kW. The second is a Performance Battery Plus which has a gross capacity of 93.4 kWh and can charge up to 270 kW. Whichever battery is chosen, it can go from 5% to 80% charged in just 22.5 minutes.

Depending on the battery that is chosen determines the outputs of the car. When the Performance Battery is chosen, the outputs are 402 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, when the Performance Battery Plus is chosen, the outputs are 469 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque.
